Description

Haresdown Barn is a field barn and adjoining animal shelter dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a stone slate roof. The south side features a central projecting gabled cart entry, flanked by lean-tos. The lean-to on the right continues around the right-hand return with a hipped corner, likely forming an additional animal shelter to the east. To the south-west, there is an 'L'-shaped animal shelter with five bays that projects forward to the south. Close inspection of the building was not possible during the survey in June 1985 due to surrounding crops.
