Description

The Walker Monument is a chest tomb located about 1.5 meters south-west of the Andrews Monument in the churchyard of the Church of St. Lawrence. It commemorates Mary Ann Walker, who died in 1783. The tomb is made of limestone and features a moulded plinth and capping, a plain frieze, and a three-step tent top with roll moulding along the top. The end panels are recessed, and the side panels have recessed sections with flanking fluted strips. At the time of the survey, the monument was partially overgrown.
