Description
This stable block, located approximately 3 meters west of number 9 Cecily Hill in Cirencester, is an outbuilding that was formerly used as a stable. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is constructed of coursed squared limestone with a stone slate roof. The building has one gable facing the street and another on the left return facade, with a long range extending to the rear at a right angle to the street. It is a single-storey structure with a hay-loft above and features one window range. The front facing the street has a single opening in the gable that is now blocked by boarding, and there are quoins at the left angle. The left return front includes one window with an opening to the hay-loft, a plank door above it, two plank doors—one with an overlight—and three pairs of large double doors. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
