Description

This open-fronted cart store, located 55 meters north-west of Lower Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed from thinly-bedded limestone and features mostly stone slate roofing, with some areas covered in corrugated iron. The building has a rectangular plan with four open bays, which are divided by square stone-built piers; one of these openings has been fitted with garage doors. There is a single-bay extension set back at the left gable end. Inside, the original scissor-braced roof trusses and collar beam are still intact. This cart store is part of a group that includes a stable.
