Description
No. 10 Dyer Street is a shop with offices that dates back to the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has a very tall brick stack on the left end, while the right end has a similar stack that has been truncated. The structure is two stories high and has a three-window range.
On the first floor, there is a 6/6-pane fixed light mock sash window with crown glass on the left, a blocked opening in the center, and a 6/6-pane sash window on the right. All windows are set in plain reveals with stone cills. The ground floor showcases a late 19th-century timber shopfront, which includes seven large panes separated by heavy moulded glazing bars. There is a recessed half-glazed door with a single-pane overlight. The shopfront is flanked by pilaster strips on both sides and features moulded brackets that support the fascia, along with an egg-and-dart moulded timber cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
