Description
This is a barn located immediately north of Aubrey's Barn, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from random coursed rubble stone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a large projecting gabled cart entry on the east side, which includes a timber lintel and a slit vent above it. There are no remaining doors on this entry. On the west side, there is an opposed entry that is flush with the wall, also featuring a timber lintel and a sliding door. The barn has square vent holes throughout and a blocked door on the right-hand side of the projecting cart entry. Although the interior is not accessible, it is said to consist of five bays with collar and tie beam trusses. This barn was originally part of a farm complex that included Turk's Yard, Tallet Steps, and Aubrey's Barn, all of which are now separate.
