Description
The King and Randall monuments are two chest tombs located about 6 meters south-west of the south door in the churchyard of the Church of St. Swithin in Quenington. The tombs commemorate John King, who died in 1826, and possibly ------- Randall, who died in 1787. They are made of limestone and feature tent tops, with the tomb of Randall stepped. Both have moulded plinths and capping. The King tomb has slab sides and ends with plain pilaster strips, although the east side is missing. The Randall tomb has quarter baluster corners, a plain frieze, plain ends, and recessed sides. Both tombs are set together on a surround of headstones, which are likely mainly from the 19th century.
