Description

The building is a summer house located in the grounds of Burnt Norton Hall. It features an 18th-century facade, while the other walls and roof were constructed in the 19th century. The facade is made of ashlar, while the remaining walls are brick. The roof is corrugated and was formerly domed. The structure has a rectangular plan with an entrance through the facade and an opening in the opposite wall, consisting of a single room above ground level.

The facade includes three round-headed arches with keystones and imposts that rest on a plinth. These arches are flanked by pairs of fluted pilasters on either side, each topped with composite order capitals. The central arch serves as the entrance, accessed by three steps and flanked by two columns that are engaged with the pilasters behind them. Both columns have decorated capitals as previously described. The keystones of the capitals extend into the course above, which features a cushion moulding and a moulded projecting eaves course adorned with alternating rose and dentilled decoration on its lower surface. Above this is a parapet with fielded panels that flank a niche, which has a shell-moulded hood, a bead-moulded surround, and flanking fielded pilasters.
