Description
No 3 Little London is a semi-detached cottage dating from the 17th or 18th century, which has been extensively renovated in the 20th century. It is built of coursed, squared limestone and features a limestone slate roof. There is an artificial ashlar stack on the left gable end. The cottage has a two-room plan with one room depth and stands two storeys high with two windows. The ground floor includes a three-light, flat chamfered stone-mullioned window on the lower left, while the 20th-century additions consist of two and three-light metal casements with glazing bars or leaded lights. A bread oven projects to the left of the stone-mullioned window. Inside, the first floor retains original flimsy, raised cruck type construction with square timber frame partition walls. The cottage is included in the listing mainly for its group value.
