Description
No. 47 Baunton is a detached house that was formerly two cottages, dating from the 18th century. The building is constructed of limestone rubble and features a concrete tile roof along with a limestone rubble stack. It has a rectangular plan and is 1.5 storeys high, with a twin-gabled entrance front. On the ground floor, there are two two-light casements with timber lintels. The entrance is through a 20th-century plank door that has a single glass pane at the top, located off-centre to the left. Each gable has a single two-light casement, with the one on the right-hand gable being a 19th-century window with leaded panes. Additionally, there is a 19th-century two-light casement with horizontal glazing bars and a timber lintel on the ground floor, along with another two-light casement above it that has a concrete lintel. The building features gable-end stacks. The rear has a 20th-century extension, which is not of special interest. The interior has not been inspected.
