Description
The Dovecote, located approximately 50 meters north-west of Stowell Park House, is a 17th-century structure. It is built from coursed roughly squared limestone rubble, with ashlar on the south side facing the house, and features dressed stone quoins and a stone slate roof. The dovecote has a square plan and includes pigeon holes on the south side. The ground floor has two double-width openings separated by a square ashlar pier. There is a bull's-eye window in the left-hand gable, and the roof is cross-gabled with moulded coping and moulded kneelers. Notably, there are no pigeon holes visible in the interior walls.
