Description
The weigh house at Home Farm, built between 1852 and 1854 by E Rich, the agent for the Westonbirt Estate, is a single-storey structure made of squared and coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and a gabled stone slate roof. It has a rectangular plan, with the elevation facing the road featuring a central sliding door. The opposite elevation has sliding doors on either side of a window. To the northeast, there is a weigh bridge. Inside, the original weighing machinery remains, including a cast-iron beam and a fluted post.
