Description
East Lodge is a lodge for Westonbirt House, likely built in the 1860s by Lewis Vulliamy. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a stone slate roof and features scattered polygonal stone flues, including an external stack facing the road. The building has an L-plan shape with a rear wing and is a single storey with an attic. The street-facing side has a projecting gable on the left, which includes a 2-light chamfered stone mullion window with a square hoodmould above a 3-light similar window. There is a small gabled porch at the angle with a plank door, and a small gabled dormer is set between the porch and the external stack to the right. The north side has a projecting flat-roofed porch with a parapet and two chamfered Tudor arches, one facing north and the other blocked to the east. East Lodge forms a group with Nos 1 and 2 Woodlands located opposite, in Shipton Moyne Parish.
