Description
This is a sarcophagus located approximately 25 metres east of the northeast chapel of the Church of St John Baptist in Cirencester. It dates from 1790 and is made of limestone. The sarcophagus features a heavy Baroque design, topped by a flaming urn on a deep plinth with diagonal pilasters. It is dedicated to Captain Day.
