Description

Nos 1 and 2 Manor Farm Cottages are a pair of estate cottages built around 1910 for H A Brassey, with the architect reputedly being "Mr Gray of London." The cottages are constructed from rubble with a Cotswold stone roof and feature a central chimney. They are designed in the Cotswold style, characterized by mullioned windows with drips and Cotswold dormer gables. The buildings are 1½ storeys high, with two gables at the front, a three-light window on the first floor, and a four-light window on the ground floor. There are outer lower set-back lobby wings, and the design is consistent throughout, with symmetrically arranged mullioned windows also present at the rear. These cottages are included as part of a good estate group.
