Description
Apricot Cottage and Sutton's Cottage are a house dating from the 17th century that was extended and divided into cottages in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of rubble with ashlar main features and dressings, topped with a plain tile roof and featuring three ridge chimneys from the 20th century. It has three storeys and three windows, with no doorway facing the road. The two right-hand windows on the ground and first floors are two and three light mullioned casements with dripmoulds, while the remaining windows are mid-19th century casements. There is a single-storey extension to the southwest, and the doors are located at the rear. Apricot Cottage includes a newel stair with a blocked skylight to the southwest.
