Description

St David's House is an early to mid-18th century building located on Church Street in Moreton-in-the-Marsh. It is constructed of coursed squared rubble with ashlar detailing, including architraves, quion pilasters, and a moulded cornice. The roof is of Cotswold stone, with ashlar verges and end stacks, and includes three gabled dormers. The front facade has two storeys and an attic, with three windows. These windows are sashes with glazing bars, set within moulded architraves that feature a triple keystone. The central entrance has a six-panel door with bolection moulding, a similarly detailed architrave, a triple keystone, and a fanlight. An early to mid-19th century, two-storey extension is present to the rear, spanning three wide bays. Original iron railings run along the road frontage, alternating between plain designs and fleur-de-lis motifs, with standards topped by heavy pyramidal caps.
