Description
Gloucester Lodge is an early 18th-century building, extended in the early 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a steeply pitched Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys and has an attic, with three windows facing the street. The ground floor features a 19th-century canted bay on the left, and a 16-pane sash window on the right. Above the canted bay is a three-light stone mullioned casement window. To the right of this is a pair of 12-pane sash windows. A central door is flanked by a plain gabled hood. There is evidence of a blocked door to the left of the door and of a 17th-century window and a Tudor-arched doorway to the right. The roof has stone verges, ashlar end stacks, and a large 19th-century gabled dormer. A single-light gable window with a drip is located in the west gable. The property has arrowhead railings with dog rails along the road.
