Description

Century House, dating from the 18th century, is located on the south side of Church Street in Moreton-in-the-Marsh. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a total of two windows on the upper floor. The ground floor has two light windows to the right and three to the left, all of which are mullioned casements. The ground floor windows have drip moulds, but the ones currently in place are modern artificial stone replacements. The left-hand ground floor window replaces a 19th-century shopfront. There is a central 19th-century part-glazed door and one gabled dormer. A ridge stack is present on the roof. At the rear, there is a gable with a tablet inscribed "E H over A N 1666."
