Description
Hill Barn is a barn dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a rectangular plan with a projecting porch on the north side, which is flanked by later lean-to extensions. There is an open-fronted shed adjoining the barn, although it is not considered of special interest. The porch has a hipped roof topped with a pointed finial. The gable ends include ventilation slits and owl holes, and the structure is finished with flat coping and roll-cross saddles. Inside, the barn consists of five bays supported by bolted queen post roof trusses.
