Description

The Shop House, located in Compton Abdale Village, is a Grade II listed cottage that dates back to 1817, as indicated by a rectangular stone plaque below the eaves on the right side. The building is constructed from roughly coursed limestone rubble and features a slate roof, along with ashlar and brick stacks. It has a main body that is two stories high, with a single story on the left. The facade has two windows; the first floor has 9-pane sash windows, while the ground floor has 12-pane sash windows with a timber lintel. There is a 20th-century part-glazed plank door with a timber lintel located off-centre to the left. The gable ends have stacks, and the interior has not been inspected.
