Description
The Old Parsonage is a detached house located in Compton Abdale, dating from the early 18th century with a 20th-century extension. It is built of coursed squared and dressed limestone with dressed quoins, featuring a stone slate roof on the main body and artificial stone slate on the extension. The house has an 'L'-shaped main body that extends back to the rear right, with a flat-roofed porch added to the forward-facing gable on the right, which is not considered of special interest.
The facade has three windows, all of which are 2-light casements on the first floor, with one window featuring leaded panes and another with horizontal glazing bars. On the ground floor, to the right of the porch, there is a three-light stone-mullioned casement with horizontal glazing bars, accompanied by a 20th-century plank door. The gable end of the extension is lit by 2 and 3-light wooden casements. The gable end and axial stacks have chamfered cappings. The interior has not been inspected.
