Description

The crocodile water spout, located at the 'T' junction in the center of Compton Abdale village, is a Grade II listed structure from the mid-19th century, created by George Curtis of Hazleton. This water spout is designed in the shape of a crocodile's head, with spring water emerging from its mouth into a large stone trough measuring approximately 1 meter by 3.5 meters. The water then flows from the trough, forming a roadside stream. The spout is made of limestone.
