Description

This is a twin-gabled house dating from the 17th century, located approximately 50 meters east of Barrington Park House. The building is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a stone slate roof with an ashlar stack. It has two storeys and an attic, with possibly three Cotswold dormers on the entrance front and twin gables at the rear. The house has a flat-chamfered plinth and includes two and three-light stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods. There are likely three Tudor-arched doorways on the south front, along with coped gables and finials on the rear gables. The exterior and interior were not accessible during the resurvey in May 1986. This building is thought to correspond to the structure immediately west of the original manor house, which was largely destroyed by fire in 1736, and it is depicted in an engraving by Kip in R. Atkyns' "The Ancient and Present State of Gloucestershire," published in 1712.
