Description
No. 7 Park Street is a house dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with a brick stack on the left end. The house has three storeys and a two-window range. On the first floor, there are two 8/8-pane sash windows with plain reveals and stone cills, while the second floor has two similar 8/8-pane sash windows. The ground floor features a pair of 2/2-pane sash windows on the left, a blocked doorway, and a 4-panel door in a plain reveal on the right. The building has a shallow plinth.
Inside, there is an early to mid 19th-century scissor-string staircase with stick balusters. The ground floor rear has re-used panelling, likely from the 18th century, on the rear wall. The first floor rear left has an early to mid 19th-century stone fireplace with a contemporary grate, and the front of the first floor has a mid 19th-century fireplace with roundel corners and a 19th-century grate. The second floor features chamfered beams at the front and rear left, with the front beams having run-out stops, and a late 19th-century iron fireplace at the rear.
