Description

This is a detached house dated 1797, as indicated by the initials “F S E 1797” carved into an armorial panel above the door. The house is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a Cotswold stone slate roof and has two brick gable stacks. It is two storeys high and originally comprised a single range with a small wing to the left, which has been restored. Originally featuring two windows, an additional bay has been added to the left. The windows are 2-light stone mullion windows. The ground floor has two similar windows framing a 6-panel door, which is partially glazed and sits beneath a large flat stone hood supported by finely carved brackets. Two windows are situated on the left side at a slightly higher level than the ground floor.
