Description

The Nag's Head Inn is a former inn, dating from the late 17th and early 18th century. It is constructed of painted rubble stone, with the front facade regularly coursed, and has a Cotswold stone slate roof with four skylights and two stone ridge stacks. The building is a single range with a rear extension, arranged over three storeys. Windows are irregularly placed and vary in size, generally with four windows across each floor, the first and second floor windows being very closely spaced. A ground floor window on the right-hand side has a large carved surround featuring chains, rosettes, a cornice, and pilaster strips on each side. The entrance is on the right return, with stone cheeks and a cornice.
