Description

This is a summerhouse located in the woods about 90 metres due south of the centre of Wiltshire Bridge. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The structure is hexagonal and features an open front supported by four Doric columns, two of which are attached to the wall. The columns are unfluted and stand on bases, topped with a dentil cornice and a blocking course. There are two steps leading up to the stone base. At the time of the survey in September 1984, the summerhouse was semi-derelict. It was formerly situated on land owned by Barton Abbotts.
