Description
30 High Street is a former row of cottages, likely originally three, now converted into one large house. The left wing probably dates from the mid 17th century and was enlarged in the later 17th century to the right. The building features random coursed rubble stone and a concrete tile roof, with three truncated stone stacks that were originally end stacks for the left wing and an end stack for the additional right wing.
This single long range is single storey with an attic. The left end has two gables with quoins that mark the original house line. Each gable has a 2-light stone mullion with leaded casements. The ground floor features two small paired wooden casements with timber lintels. To the right, there are three small gabled dormers along the eaves, with two on the left side also having leaded casements. The ground floor includes three paired casements with timber lintels, with a half-glazed door with a stone lintel to the left and a plank door with a timber lintel to the right.
