Description
The walls and gates of a walled garden located approximately 50 meters northwest of Notgrove Manor are likely from the early 19th century. The west gate is dated 'ANO D 1830'. The walls are constructed of limestone rubble and outline a subrectangular garden. The gate piers are made of limestone rubble with squared and dressed quoins. The wall varies in height from 3 to 4 meters and has a concrete capping. The square gate piers feature moulded cappings and ball finials. There is an ornate single gate on the west side and a plainer, probably later gate on the south side. Additionally, there is a single light with a trefoil head set into the wall at the northwest corner.
