Description
The former coach house at Rodmarton Manor, now used as a garage, is a Grade II listed building. It is constructed of coursed and dressed stone with flush stone quoins and features a half hipped stone slate roof topped with a weathercock at the center. The east side has an open area with three bays, each divided by chamfered timber posts on stone bases. These posts support small timber lintels that conceal the joins in the long lintels across the bays. The west side matches the gatehouse and includes two small gabled dormers, along with two three-light casement windows on the ground floor that have cambered stone heads. There is a similar casement window on the central return behind a recess that matches the one in the gatehouse, and the hinges for the original gates are still present, although the gates themselves are missing. Additionally, there is a loft door at the south end, accessed by a wooden stair.
