GV II

House in row. Mid C17 and mid-late C18. C17 range: thinly-bedded limestone rubble. Later extensions: coursed roughly squared and dressed limestone; stone slate roof; ashlar stack and brick stack. The C17 part comprises a single cross-gabled bay which is one build with The Pump House adjoining (q.v.), (suggesting that these were once one) with a C18 extension to the left gable end and at the rear C17 gable: 1 1/2 storeys. C18 extension: 2 storeys. Single C17 gable right, lit by 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements. Small single light window (now blocked) with a flat- chamfered surround towards the apex of the gable. Single-bay C18 extension to the left with a C20 2-light stone-mullioned casement with a stopped hood to the ground floor; C18 double-chamfered 2- light casement above. Early fastenings to the windows to the upper floor of both parts C19 part-glazed door within a C20 projecting gabled porch. Gable-end stack with moulded capping. Interior not inspected.
