Description

No. 3, Coln St Dennis, is a house in a row dating to the 17th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble, originally rendered, with a concrete tile roof and ashlar stacks. The building has a long, rectangular shape and includes a small lean-to store front on the left side. It is one and a half storeys high. The ground floor features one two-light and one three-light stone mullioned casement window, both with stopped hoods. These windows are likely 19th century replacements with leaded panes or glazing bars. A small four-pane casement window is located to the left, with a timber lintel. Two Cotswold eaves dormers are present, both probably 20th century, with two-light stone-mullioned glazing bars; one is 20th century, and the other may be a reused earlier feature. A 20th century plank door is positioned off-centre to the right, featuring a large dressed stone lintel and dressed stone jambs, with a concrete canopy supported by moulded concrete brackets above. There is a gable-end and axial stack. Flat coping is visible to the right gable end. The interior was not inspected.
