Description

The Vineries is an early 19th-century detached house with a later 19th-century extension. Constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with finer dressed stone at the front, it has a stone slate roof and ashlar stacks. The building follows a basically rectangular plan and presents a symmetrical, two-storey, three-windowed front facade, featuring 12-pane sash windows within plain architraves. The central entrance has a 19th-century fielded six-panel door with a fanlight, recessed within a semi-circular headed surround with a plain architrave. Boot scrapers are set within the reveal of the door surround. Gable-end stacks are present with skirtings and moulded cappings to the main body, and there is a projecting stack at the right gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
