Description

Berkeley House is a mid-18th century house forming part of a pair with number 14 in The Chipping, Tetbury. The front is rendered with incised details on a plinth, and features a bedmould, cornice with heavy dentils, and a parapet. The roof is covered with Cotswold stone slates, and there are large stone stacks on the right. The building has a double range with a rear projecting wing, and extends over three storeys with four windows. These windows are 12-pane sashes with moulded wooden architraves. The ground floor has three similar windows, and a doorway to the right featuring attached Doric columns, a frieze, and a cornice. The doorway contains a six-panel door with a radial fanlight set in a deep reveal with a cornice.
