Description

No. 12, The Chipping is a house in a terrace, dating to the early 18th century and restored in the 20th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a roof of Cotswold stone slate and a small stone stack to the left. The house is two storeys and has an attic. It has three windows on the upper floor, which are 20th-century six-pane sashes with straight voussoir arches, keystones, and flat stone sills. There are two similar windows on the ground floor, and to the left is a 20th-century classical doorcase with a glazed door. Two gabled dormers, each with six panes, are visible, and have Cotswold stone tile-hung gables that cut the eaves level.
