Description
Fairview is a detached cottage located in Bagendon, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with slightly later extensions. The building is constructed from limestone rubble and features stone slate and artificial stone slate roofing at the rear, while the single-storey extension has pantile roofing. It has an 'L'-shaped plan with a single-bay extension on the left gable end. The cottage is 1 1/2 storeys high and has a three-windowed facade adorned with three gablets, along with a single-storey extension to the left. The windows are late 19th to early 20th century two-light casements with timber lintels. A canopy with a stone slate roof covers the two lower left-hand windows. The main entrance features a 19th-century plank door with a single glass pane, located at the center of the main body, and there is another plank door leading to the single-storey extension on the left. The building has off-the-ridge and gable-end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
