Description

Manor Farm House is a large house dating from the early to mid-17th century, with slight extensions made in the 19th to early 20th centuries at the rear. It is constructed of random limestone with dressed stone quoins and features a stone slate roof, along with ashlar stacks, one of which was restored in the 20th century. The main body of the house has a rectangular plan with a stair projection at the center of the rear and a 19th to early 20th-century extension to the rear left. A 20th-century porch on the southwest side is not of special interest.

The house is two storeys tall with an attic and has a symmetrical facade with three windows. The facade is lit by 20th-century two-light wooden casements that have concrete lintels. The windows on the ground and first floors were originally three-light, except for the one above the porch. The central entrance features a 20th-century part-glazed door with glazing bars, set within a 20th-century gabled stone-built porch that has a pointed-arched entrance. The stair projection at the rear includes a blocked doorway leading to the first and second floors, as well as a blocked single light window with a rebated surround near the apex of the gable. A projecting gable-end stack is also present.

Inside, the house features beams with deep flat chamfers and ogee stops, along with an open fireplace that has a bressumer beam.
