Description
There are two monuments located about 2.5 meters west of the Church of St. Michael in the churchyard. Both are chest tombs made of limestone. The northern tomb is for Thomas Bedwell, who died in 1776. It features a moulded plinth and capping on a base, with a two-step tent top that has a longitudinal top moulding. The sides have plain recessed panels, with an inscription on the south side. The southern tomb is for Jacob Hewlings, who died in 1765. It has a moulded plinth and capping on a tall base, with a single-step tent top that has a flattened top. The sides are divided into two recessed panels, and the ends also have similar panels, with inscriptions on the south and east sides.
