Description

The Black Bear Public House is a mid-19th century building designed in a 17th century vernacular style. It features a long range of five bays, with an additional bay to the left above a carriage arch. The structure is constructed from coursed rubble and topped with a slate roof. There are six 19th century sash windows on the upper floor and four below, including one tripartite window. The entrance has a modern door adorned with a keystone and a flat hood above. The carriage arch is segmented and includes impost blocks and carved spandrels. Brick ridge stacks complete the design.
