Description
Curfew Tower is a stone rubble tower from the 16th century, located on the east side of High Street in Moreton-in-the-Marsh. It has two storeys and features an arched window above a canted arched doorway. Notable elements include a 17th-century clock and a curfew bell housed in a gabled turret. This building is said to be the oldest in Moreton-in-the-Marsh and was formerly used as a lock-up, as indicated by the Tudor-arch doorway with a shielded door at the south-west corner.
