Description

Waters Bridge is a former packhorse and footbridge that crosses a tributary of the River Avon on the old road into Tetbury from the south. It was built around 1622 and has been superseded by Bath Bridge. The bridge features a single flattened arch that is approximately 1.5 meters high and 2 meters wide, constructed with narrow rubble stone voussoirs. The bridge platform is about 2 meters wide and retains most of the original stone slabs that form the roadway.
