Description

This is a row of five houses located on the east side of New Church Street in Tetbury. They were built in the early to mid-18th century. The houses are constructed with incised render over rubble stone, featuring an ashlar parapet and a decorative cornice band. The roof is covered with Cotswold stone slates, and there are four stone stacks, three of which are original.

The houses are a long, single range and stand three stories high. They have an irregular arrangement of windows, with most of the windows containing 12-pane and 6-pane sashes on all floors. There are eight windows on the first floor, five on the second floor, and six on the ground floor. Number 8 has plate glass sashes. Recessed doorways are found at numbers 2, 4, 8, and 10; number 6 has a 20th-century pedimented doorcase. The original 6-panel doors remain at numbers 2 and 10, with number 10 also featuring a 3-mullion fanlight above the door.
