Description

This is a row of three houses located on the west side of New Church Street in Tetbury, dating from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The houses were likely built as individual properties. They are constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins, and have roofs of Cotswold stone slate, topped with three stone chimney stacks. The buildings are two storeys and have an attic space. Each house has three windows; the first and ground floor windows are paired 8-pane casements with large stone lintels. The doorways to numbers 19 and 21 are to the left of the windows, featuring original 4-panel doors. The doorway to number 23 is positioned to the right of the window, and has a plain architrave at its base, finished with a vermiculated keystone. One gabled dormer window is present on each house. The dormer on number 19 has 16 panes, whilst the dormers on numbers 21 and 23 have 12. A fire insurance plaque is set into the gable of the dormer on number 19.
