Description
Lloyd's Bank is a late 18th-century building located on the east side of High Street in Moreton-in-the-Marsh. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a roof that is not visible from the street. The building is designed as a formal town house with an attached stable block. It stands three storeys high and has three windows. Notable architectural details include plinth bands, a ground floor sill level, and a first floor level, as well as long and short quoins, a modillion eaves cornice, and a balustraded parapet.
The outer windows are Venetian in plain openings, while the ground floor windows have 19th-century glazing. The central windows are single sashes set within moulded stone architraves, with the first floor window featuring a cornice. The central doorway is framed by three-quarter Doric columns and a pediment, leading to a six-panel door. The building has ashlar end stacks and was cleaned and restored in 1977.
