Description
Futers, Ladies' Hairdressers is a mid-18th century building located on the south-east side of High Street. It has two and a half storeys and is constructed of ashlar with a slate roof. The building features end chimneys, with the lower parts made of stone and adorned with cornices. There are two segment-headed dormers with casements, the left one retaining its key-stone. On the first floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows, which were likely wider originally. The ground floor has a mid-19th century shop front and a plain through passage entry with a rectangular lintel to the right, alongside another mid-19th century shop front to the left. This shop front includes angled windows with flanking pilaster strips and a central paired door with half-glazing in an arched pattern. Vent grids are located below the windows.
