Description

The Midland Electricity Board building, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, is a two-storey structure made of ashlar stone. It features a cornice and parapet, topped with a Cotswold stone roof. The first floor has two windows with glazing bar sashes, while the ground floor has two angled shop windows from the mid-19th century, flanking a central half-glazed door. This door is lower than the original design, which included a wide segmental coach arch to the left, above a small half-glazed side door, and visible inside the left-hand shop window.
