Description

SOUTHROP SOUTHROP VILLAGE SP 1903-2003 14/215 Stables and coach house approximately 10m to north west of Southrop Manor GV II Stables and coach house. Mid-late C18; early C19 alterations. Coursed rubble limestone; stone slate roof. South-facing; continuous lofts. South side: 3 half gables each with loft doorway having timber lintel and plank door. Coach doorway with timber lintel to left. Round arched doorway to right with plank stable doors and fanlight flanked by similar round arched openings with later inserted casements. Hipped roofs. Interior not inspected. Performs important enclosing function on main village street.
