Description

The stables and coach house, located approximately 10 meters to the northwest of Southrop Manor, date from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble limestone and feature a stone slate roof. The building faces south and has continuous lofts.

On the south side, there are three half gables, each with a loft doorway that has a timber lintel and a plank door. To the left is a coach doorway with a timber lintel, while to the right is a round arched doorway with plank stable doors and a fanlight, flanked by similar round arched openings that have later inserted casements. The roofs are hipped. The interior has not been inspected. This structure plays an important role in enclosing the main village street.
