Description
The building is a workshop located at the rear of Grey House, which is associated with Smalley and Co. It dates from the 18th and 19th centuries and was originally intended as cottages. The workshop is part of Hollis's foundry and is one and a half storeys tall, with a garret. It is constructed from rubble and features a Cotswold stone slate roof that has been repaired with concrete tiles. There are two windows with brick dressings on the right side. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan, and the rear wing includes a warehouse, notable for having one of the trusses with curved ends at the apex. Additionally, the west block contains stop-chamfered joists with ogee stops. This structure was formerly an iron foundry.
