Description
Pine House, the premises of Francis Hill and Cole, is a building reconstructed around 1870. It stands two and a half storeys tall, constructed from coursed and squared rubble, with ashlar quoins and dressings. The building features a moulded cast iron eaves gutter, a tiled roof, and end chimneys. There are two gabled dormers with arched casements. On the first floor, four sash windows are present, each with a segmental tympanum and linked by a label string. A 20th-century shop front has been inserted into the ground floor's earlier arrangement. The house entrance on the left side has a panelled door with an overlight. Inside, there is a contemporary stair with a heavy baluster. The building is included for its group value.
